NT Quest Day 160 - Matthew 25

Scripture:

Matthew 25:

40 “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Observation:

Separating Sheep from goats means separating those who truly love and follow Jesus from those who don’t.

So how do you know the difference?  Who truly loves Jesus?  He answers the question for us…

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Application:

Do you truly love Jesus?  Do you?  Do I?

A genuine love for Jesus is a genuine love “for the least of these”.  We cannot pass them by.  In a sense we are passing by Jesus.  Leaving him starving, parched, homeless, naked, sick and all alone.

I don’t want to be overlooked.  Neither do they.  Neither does Jesus.

Prayer:

God give us eyes to see you…in the “least”.  May we show our great love for you by loving them.  I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
